Intended Use: β2-Microglobulin Test Kit (Latex Immunoturbidimetric Method) is intended for quantitative in vitro determination of β2-MG concentration in serum on photometric systems. BMG is a protein of low molecular weight which exists in the blood, urine and cerebrospinal liquid. BMG detecting in serum makes for the diagnosis of kidney disorder and cancer, and advantages in disease treatment and prognosis evaluation. If the β2-MG is normal, it’s capable to get through the glomerulus and kidney tubules in the proximal will almost be all reabsorbed and degraded. Increasing β2-MG in serum can be seen in acute nephritis, chronic nephritis and chronic renal insufficiency when the glimerular filtration or declining of renal blood flow happens, earlier and more evident than the increasing of creatinine concentration in serum, which is of great significant in the early diagnosis of renal injury caused by hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
